The equipment, developed by Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, aims to test the technical and economic feasibility of producing green hydrogen on offshore wind farm.
The facility has four containerized modules-electric equipment module, electrolyzer module, seawater purification module, and compressing and pump module. The facility also has a mounted hydrogen storage module.
China has made many preparations to explore opportunities producing hydrogen on the sea, including innovation on both seawater direct electrolysis technology and traditional seawater electrolysis technology.
