Nuclear power to hydrogen, green ammonia co-firing… these projects are set to launch in China
On September 20, NDRC (National Development and Reform Commission), the top economic and energy policy maker in China, issued a guidance document listing new low-carbon technologies which are eligible for prior policy and financial supports.
All the projects applying these new technologies should submit application by October 11, and should start construction by June 2025, according to the document.
Producing hydrogen by nuclear power, co-firing green ammonia with large coal power, which have never been announced in China so far, are on this list, signaling the first deployment could be imminent.
