200kw+ fuel cell stack emerging in China
Summer is a proliferating season for Chinese fuel cell stack and system companies, several innovators have released their 200kw+ stack products. As China’s subsidy policies tent to favor FCEVs equipped with higher power fuel cell stacks, such products could make these corporations more competitive in the industry.
NOWOGEN, a hydrogen fuel cell innovator located in Beijing, released its 300kw graphite bipolar plates and 200kw metal bipolar plates. Established in 2010, NOWOGEN is a leading fuel cell stack producer which has partnership with China’s top fuel cell system manufacturers, including REFIRE and JUST Power.
FTXT Energy Technology, a subsidary of Great Wall Auto Group, debut its 300kw+ graphite plates in 2Q2023. FTXT’s business covers the full hydrogen engine supply chain, including stack, system and engine. Established in 2019, FTXT now has 5 R&D centers and 800 staffs and it now provides a wide range of hydrogen engine products from 80kw to 255kw.

G-POWER, a hydrogen technology innovator focusing on fuel cell system products, released its new generation 256kw system in August. Located at Shanghai, G-POWER has strategic partnership with many China’s renowned hydrogen engine and vehicle producers, including Horizon, SINOSYNERGY, Geely, and CRRC.
