China added 100 hydrogen refilling stations in 2021, lifted the total number to 218, Jiangsu and Shandong lead

2021 is not only a big year for hydrogen fuel cell manufacturers in China, also for hydrogen refilling stations. We noticed that China has built 100 new hydrogen refilling stations in 2021, lifted the total number in operation to 218 by the end of 2021.

Among all the provinces, Jiangsu and Shandong lead the construction. There are 20 and 11 newly built refilling stations in Jiangsu and Shandong respectively. Followed by Guangdong (10 stations) and Beijing (7 stations).

The construction of hydrogen refilling stations is still in acceleration. Sinopec said that they will build 1,000 stations by 2025, some other industry giants are rushing into the market to secure their seats in this feast.
