China may add 106 hydrogen refueling stations in 2022

According to latest industry news, as of end of October, China has added 62 new hydrogen refueling station in 2022, now China has 296 hydrogen refueling station in operation. And there are 44 more hydrogen refueling stations under construction and expected to put into operation by the end of 2022. If the schedule is well followed, China will add 106 hydrogen refueling stations in 2022 and has 340 hydrogen refueling stations altogether.

Most of these 296 hydrogen refueling stations are located at Easten and Southern China which are the most populated and industrialized regions in China. Guangdong province takes the lead with 53 stations, followed by Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces with each of them has over 20 stations.

The refueling capacity is also increasing. Before 2018, most hydrogen refueling stations have a capacity of around 500 kg per day, while newly built stations through 2022 typically have a refueling capacity of 1000 kg per day.
