China started working on 6,582km trunk hydrogen pipeline
Pipeline is the cheapest way for hydrogen transportation. However, it needs intensive investment to establish the infrastructure. China has not only invested tens of billions of dollars into green hydrogen production, it is also implementing ambitious plans to build hydrogen pipeline network transmitting green hydrogen from Inner Mongolia to coastal industrial areas and densely populated cities.
Remarkable progresses have been made in the first three months of 2025. China has started working on three main pure hydrogen transportation pipelines (networks) which have a total length of 6,582km, according policy makers and relevant developers.
