China's first green hydrogen certificate
On April 2, the "Renewable Energy + PEM Hydrogen Production + Hydrogen Refueling" Integrated Innovation Demonstration Project of Jilin Electric. in the China-South Korea (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone successfully passed the green certification of renewable hydrogen for the whole industry chain, and successfully obtained the record of the National Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA), becoming the first "photovoltaic + grid power (green certificate substitution)" full-process green certification hydrogen production project in China. This is the first “Green Hydrogen” certificate in China, which marks a milestone for green hydrogen-based energy products certification.
The certification was carried out by Bureau Veritas, an international organization in accordance with the "Standards and Evaluation of Low-carbon Hydrogen, Clean Hydrogen and Renewable Hydrogen" (T/CAB 0078-2020) issued by the China Hydrogen Alliance. After 45 days of "document verification, on-site assessment and follow-up supervision", it was finally confirmed that the project has reached the industry-leading level in core indicators such as renewable energy utilization, hydrogen production carbon footprint and hydrogen quality, creating a precedent for the green certification of renewable hydrogen in the whole industry chain in China.
The project has a 18.56 MW rooftop distributed photovoltaics, with a maximum hydrogen production capacity of 600Nm3 per hour and a maximum hydrogen refueling capacity of 500 kilograms per day.

The "Standard and Evaluation of Low-Carbon Hydrogen, Clean Hydrogen and Renewable Hydrogen" (T/CAB 0078-2020), is the first low-carbon hydrogen evaluation standard in China. The standard is issued by the China Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Industry Innovation Strategic Alliance and managed by the China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Association. The standard sets the requirements and evaluation methods for low-carbon hydrogen, clean hydrogen and renewable hydrogen in China, aiming to facilitate the development of new low-carbon hydrogen, clean hydrogen and renewable hydrogen preparation processes.
