Chinese fuel cell producers flocking into electrolyzer sector
Just before 2023, fuel cell and electrolyzer are two separated businesses in China, major companies are dedicated in one business only. However, along with the surging of green hydrogen production projects, more and more Chinese fuel cell eye electrolyzer as a promising market for expansion. So far, at least 7 major Chinese fuel cell manufacturers have released new PEM or ALK electrolyzer products, according to local industry reports.
SinoHytec, China's top supplier of fuel cells in 2022, announced its first PEM electrolyzer has commissioned in Yining, Xinjiang on Feb 27th, 2024. The company said this system has an energy efficiency of 4.4 kwh/hr.
