Shenmu City to deploy 8,000 FCEV heavy-duty trucks

Shenmu City, a major energy hub in Shaanxi province, signed an agreement with Kaiyun Energy to deploy 8,000 FCEV heavy-duty trucks which are estimated being capable of consuming 130,000 ton hydrogen per annum.

The project could become the largest FCEV deployment project ever in China and globally if implemented successfully. For comparison, China produced 5,631 and 3,626 hydrogen FCEVs in 2023 and 2022 respectively.
