Tencent deploy 60 FCEV coach for employee commuting in Shenzhen
(June 5, 2023 Shenzhen, China) Tencent, the largest internet technology company in China, announced to deploy 60 hydrogen fuel cell coaches in Shenzhen for employee commuting. It is the first FCEV fleet deployed by China’s tech giants and regarded one of measures to achieve net-zero for these companies.
Tencent has announced its carbon neutrality target in 2022 and it pledge to achieve carbon neutrality in its own operation and supply chain, and use 100% green power by 2030. Tencent’s total carbon emissions in 2021 was 5.111 million ton which includes 0.019 million tons scope 1, 2.349 million tons scope 2 and 2.743 million tons scope 3 emissions.

This 60 FCEV fleet is the largest FCEV commuting fleet in China and it is managed by a local transportation service company. The company has announced that it will purchase another 140 FCEVs for commercial commuting service recently.
