Yoichi Miyazaki praised cooperation achievements of the two sides, and acknowledged huge potential of China’s FCEVs market.
Both companies agree to collaborate in research and deployment of fuel cell system and FCEVs market in China, especially for heavy-duty trucks. Sinotruk is the largest heavy-duty truck producer in China, which sold 245,000 vehicles in 2024, accounting for 27% of total domestic market. The company also sold 6,166 new energy trucks in 2024, including BEV and FCEV trucks. The strategic cooperation could boost both sides’ business on hydrogen vehicles field.
The cooperation with Sinotruk, as well as other recent business movements of Toyota, clearly reveals the company’s ambition to be No.1 hydrogen fuel cell supplier in China, even confronting the harsh competition of Chinese companies.
